{"id":158,"date":"2019-08-23T07:43:29","date_gmt":"2019-08-23T07:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gdcb.ac.in\/?page_id=158"},"modified":"2019-10-31T10:52:53","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T10:52:53","slug":"admission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/a.gdcb.ac.in\/?page_id=158","title":{"rendered":"Admission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Admission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission Rules and Eligibility:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission to any class will be strictly on\nthe basis of merit and accordance with of the first ordinance of HP University,\n1973(Clause 1.4 Chapter 1). Any student seeking admission in the college in any\nfaculty\/course has to fulfil the following eligibility conditions\/rules (Clause\n3.3A of Chapter 3 Vol. 1) of the Ordinance of HP University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic Qualifications:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>B.A. I (Pass Course). Any student who has\npassed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10+2 examination or an equivalent\nexamination from any recognise board\/university established by law in Indian\nwith at least 33 percent marks, or<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intermediate examination of an Indian\nUniversity\/Board or any examination recognised equivalent there to with at\nleast 33 percent marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>B.Com. I (Pass Course)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for seeking admission in\nB.Com. I pass course, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in\nCommerce stream with minimum 40 percent marks are eligible for admission, or<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A student who has passed 10+2 or equivalent\nexam other than Commerce stream in four subjects including English with\nEconomics or Maths as compulsory subject at 10+2 level with 45 percent marks is\neligible for admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For girl candidate, the eligibility is pass\npercentage, i.e. 33 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong>\nNo compartment case at 10+2 level will be considered eligible for admission in\nany stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Age Limit <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For admission to the first year of any\ncourse, a student must not be more than 23 years (25 years for girls) of age on\n1 July 2019 e.g. the applicant should not be born earlier than 01.07.1996 in\ncase of boys and 01.07.1994 in case of girls. However, in respect of SC and ST\nstudents a relaxation of 3 years is given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vice-Chancellor of HPU Shimla has the\npower to permit age relaxation up to a maximum of 6 months. All such cases\ncould provisionally be granted age relaxation up to 6 months by the Principal\nand a consolidated list o such cases be sent for approval of the\nVice-Chancellor by 31<sup>st<\/sup> October of every academic year. A candidate\nwho has availed age relaxation at the time of first admission shall be eligible\nfor the same in subsequent classes also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roll-on Admission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission is open for all students on roll on Basis, who are otherwise\neligible without waiting for the final result.
